1. Create a Fixed-Term Membership with an Autoresponder System

This is the easiest method. You create an autoresponder where you send a message to your customers every week. Each message contains a link that will take them to a webpage that includes a PDF (or audio) file with the content of that week's lessons. You can offer a fixed membership – for example, 3, 6, 9 or 12 months – with additional bonuses along the way.
PayPal or Clickbank are the easiest ways to accept payments. After customers sign up, you'll need to have an autoresponder that they can opt into so they receive your weekly messages. Clickbank also offers an affiliate program as a benefit to your membership.
If you already have an account with 1shoppingcart.com or a private label, you can implement your membership using its autoresponders. This way, customers don't have to opt into autoresponders since it can be done automatically through the cart system.

2. Create a membership website using Amember with PayPal
Amember is a simple, inexpensive membership program that you install on your website server. It is easy to integrate with PayPal for subscription payments, and it creates separate password-protected accounts for each subscriber. Users who are currently subscribed to a particular product will be able to login and access the content.
Amember and its many plug-ins allow you to create a variety of content protection options, including simple web pages, WordPress, Joomla, and sites that offer incremental content over time. This is similar to the Fixed Term membership described above.

3. Create a membership website using Amember and 1shoppingcart.com
You can implement a membership by purchasing a plug in for Amember and using 1shoppingcart.com, or one of their private labels. You would use recurring billing to charge your customers automatically in this case.
This may not be a good solution if you do not already have a shopping cart account. Amember and PayPal offer similar functionality. The cart's autoresponder is more user-friendly, and its affiliate program offers some extra features. However, neither of these are enough reasons to pay the extra for the shopping cart.
If you use your cart to sell other products, you might want to consider using it for memberships as well. Your customer list, affiliates, and autoresponders would all be in one place, rather than being split between Amember, your cart, and Amember. It can be a great way to make life easier for you as your business grows.
