After taking a short flight to Lukla, you will start your trek towards Phakding passing traditional villages. You will be following Dudhkoshi river valley from here until you reach Tengboche. You will follow Khumbu Khola river valley after Tengboche until Dingboche and will be in Imja river valley. After spending 2 nights in Dingboche, you will again join with Khumbu river valley and follow this until the base camp.

The most beautiful Sherpa town in the Everest region is Namche Bazaar where you will spend 2 nights for the altitude practice. There will be weekly market starting from Friday and ends on Saturday. Vantage Viewpoints

The first stunning viewpoint on this trek will be Everest view hotel. You can visit this place while you will have the first altitude practice rest day at Namche. You will walk about 3 hours passing the highest airport Syangboche and really enjoy the scenic panoramic view of the Everest Himalaya from this place. The Everest view hotel is a luxury hotel with luxury facilities on this trek so some trekkers spend their luxury night in this hotel. You will see Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam and many other high mountains with hot drinks from this place and hike back to either Namche Bazaar or Khumjung. 

Tengboche hill is another stunning viewpoint which offers a similar view as Everest view hotel. But you can see the Khumbu valley towards Pangboche and Dingboche from here. You can visit an ancient and historical Buddhist monastery here and trek to Dingboche the next day.

Sangkat-Tsang hill is another nice viewpoint that offers a beautiful view of the Everest Himalaya including M.t Makalu. This is only the hill from where you can see this mt. Makalu on this trek. Mt. Makalu is the fourth highest mountain in Nepal and fifth in the world. You will visit this viewpoint while you will hike for the second acclimatization day hike from Dingboche.

The most popular viewpoint which offers the best view of the Everest Himalaya and is Kala Patthar hill. This is the hill from where you can see the nearest view of Everest. You will climb this hill early morning which might take around 2 hours to reach the top. It will be freezing cold with the wind while climbing this hill so windproof warm clothing is recommended for this hill. Though, the view at the sunset time is the best from this hill.
