existing barely in the street of life
looking at you looking at me
wings plucked and broken
scattered in the wind.

life is just a journey
it is what you make of it
ephemeral fleeting swiftly passing by
wrong choices remaining long after we are gone.

win or lose who cares?
bleakness of the future weighs me down
empty ache in my bleeding heart
drowning within shattered dreams.

wreckage washed ashore
i find myself longing for what might have being
what is that i hear?
a knock on the door hope for a second chance.

hobbling across the desert
in the wasteland of my fall
distractions weigh me down
drowning feet coated in concrete.

crawling in vomitus
long past caring
let me be let me be
bacchus has a hold on me.

floating in lala land
sweet escape from reality
building castles in cloud cuckoo
crumbling like a pack of cards.

What do you think?
