There are external factors and bad habits of life that influence the aging that is generated prematurely. However, being aware of what harms or benefits us can help prevent premature aging of our skin.

Indeed, skin aging is a biological process that all people have to accept at some point. Although today there are many techniques to delay its signs, the truth is that there will come a time where its appearance will be inevitable.

When this process occurs in its natural form, it is almost always noticeable from the age of 40 with the development of small wrinkles that will gradually become more visible. This occurs by a hormonal decrease that compromises skin cells, the production of collagen and elastin.

On the other hand, when we talk about premature aging, it can be prevented, avoided and reduced more effectively.

Since absolutely we are all exposed in one way or another to suffer these early skin damages, it is worth following some recommendations to improve their quality and our lifestyle in general.

1. Sleep well

During the hours of sleep, the body secretes several substances that support cell regeneration. This allows to keep the skin younger and vitalized.

Therefore, by not sleeping this activity is being obstructed and in the medium or long term, it can be noticed in the state of the skin.

Sleeping 7 or more hours a day, without interruptions, allows the body to repair itself properly. Similarly, it helps prevent premature aging and the development of anti-aesthetic signs such as dark circles and bags.

2. Balanced feeding

The skin is the most extensive organ of our body and, therefore, requires special nutrition to enjoy optimal health.

Antioxidant compounds, vitamins, minerals, and many other nutrients are provided through a good quality diet. These participate in the restoration of the skin.

They also prevent oxidative damage caused by free radicals in the environment.

In this sense, the diet should be based on high-quality foods such as:

  • Fruits.
  • Vegetables.
  • Vegetables.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids.
  • Nuts.

3. Protect yourself from the sun

The sun's UV rays are the main cause of premature skin aging and many of the skin conditions.
