The post-pandemic world is slowly trying to resume the flow from where it stopped. Ironically, in our country where unemployment is high, studies have shown that after the lockdown, India will face a labor shortage in the coming years. Not only this, but the International Labor Organization has also said that India will face a 29 million skill deficit by 2030, which is capable of taking a huge toll on our economy. Now is the time to tap into that bottomless well of untapped potential for the country with the world’s youngest population. And for that, we seek career counselling.

Career counselling for students is a process of expertly informed, intelligent and educational guidance that helps students to know and understand themselves and also gives them the necessary options to make educational, career, and life decisions. The demand for career counselors has increased rapidly in recent years as parents and students realize the need to make informed decisions about their futures.

During school, a student steps into the planet with a narrow perspective, after becoming familiar with a select few of the myriad labor fields. Then they are bombarded with options that they either don’t give much thought to or don’t think about. This may be where career counseling steps in. As a pastor who has never been one to seek the advice of any kind, we have not provided the guidance, a beacon, a guide that our younger generation so desperately needs.
