There is a certain level of kick and ease in horror and gruesome genres of Japanese manga. One such project gaining a lot of support in the Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is Tatsuki Fujimoto’s, Chainsaw Man.

Tatsuki Fujimoto is known for his repulsive stories, gruesome fight scenes, and disturbing imagery. Although his identity is not yet revealed, fans are going crazy over his latest work, Chainsaw Man, which desperately needs an anime adaptation.

What is Chainsaw Man?

Chainsaw Man is a Japanese manga/comic, written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto and serialized in the Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump of 2018. The manga recently gained a lot of new fans and media coverage in the past two years. The plot revolves around the 16-year old poverty-stricken, Denji, who, in hopes of repaying his father’s debts, unintentionally makes a contract with his pet devil, Pochita. The devil not only brings him back to life but also gives him the extraordinary ability to transform into the human-devil hybrid, chainsaw man.

As part of his new life, Denji can transform into the chainsaw man by pulling a string from his chest, which forces giant mechanical chainsaws to morph from his head and arms, making him the ultimate slaughter machine.

The story is twisted, the fight scenes are gut-churning, and the characters are peccable. If that doesn’t make you read Chainsaw Man, you might as well drop the idea of reading Jujutsu Kaisen as well.

Chainsaw Man anime opening themes

The internet has already decided that there will be an anime adaptation regardless of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s confirmation. While Tatsuki Fujimoto is yet to provide some insights into the possibility of the upcoming anime adaption, some fans took the initiative into their own hands and came up with their personalized versions of Chainsaw Man anime opening, and no denying, they all look awesome.

The first opening comes from the Twitter user MADYOU, and it is the exact copy of the opening theme of 2020’s hit series Jujutsu Kaisen.

The fan opening was appreciated for its creativity, and it introduced all the major characters, including Makima, Denji, Power, Aki Hayakawa, Pochita, Reze, Kobeni Higashiyama, and the Gun Devil as well.

The second fan opening was posted by Twitter user Kumi. The second opening, yet again, was a reprised version of the ending theme of Jujutsu Kaisen. Unlike the first opening, Kumi’s version of the opening was more relaxed. Chainsaw Man characters were dancing around to the beats of the song Lost in Paradise by ALI featuring AKLO.

Among the two, the second opening received a better response rate, where fans witnessed the cold-blooded devils, fiends, and Public Safety Devil Hunters grooving to some pop beats for the first time and not stabbing each other in the gut.

Conclusion

If there is a possibility of an upcoming anime adaptation, then the forthcoming Shueisha’s Jump Festa 2021 event would be the best platform for the introduction of the anime adaption of Chainsaw Man.
