Changes to Passport Requirements for New Zealand Temporary Visas

Immigration New Zealand has received a high volume of applications after re-opening the borders in 2022. As it has resulted in the delaying of processing of the visa, steps are being taken to rectify this ongoing problem. The need to submit physical passports has been removed. Applicants needde high-quality scanned copies of theor pastheirs along with applications.

In some cases, the immigration officer may request the applicant to submit the physical passport to the nearest Visa Application Centre. Strict monitoring will be done to prevent any negative effect on the candidate's application status.
