Under the NDIS, people with disabilities are ensured increased choice and control over the supports and services that they can access. Participants are encouraged to have self-defined goals which they can pursue with the help of supports and services that are funded by the NDIS. They can decide when and where these services will be delivered and most importantly, who can provide the said supports to them. Individuals and organisation delivering NDIS supports and services to the participants are known as service providers.
Whatever NDIS service is delivered, no one can stop the participants from switching to a different service provider if they are dissatisfied with their current one. Participants can change their provider at any time for any reason after dealing notice to the provider in accordance with the notice period specified in the service agreement. In the case of plan management service providers, after receiving your email or phone call regarding the cancellation of services, they will release your funds and set the ball rolling for the changeover.
