Located on the outskirts of Ipoh is this adventurous hotspot which is a Malaysian theme park that was restored from scratch from a tin-mining wasteland. Apart from hot springs and beautiful tropical jungle, It has a cluster of seven adrenaline rushing adventure parks. A fun fact: this park is known to be the only theme park in Southeast Asia that is home to natural hot springs and all the additional attractions with it. 

Apart from attracting tourists for its thrilling roller coaster rides and exciting land-based rides, the hot springs here with healing properties also seem to be a major hotspot. A pro tip: visit the hot springs during the evening and not during the day as the temperature of the water is beyond forty-degree and is cooler during the evenings. You can engage in activities like rock climbing, rope course, and hop on the twenty-meter long cable over the Bonga Lake.

  • Sam Poh Tong Cave Temple: to connect with your inner spirit, head over to this temple outside the park that has beautiful Buddha statues and other deities. You can also sit back and relax in the beautiful lush garden that is well built with stone lanterns and pagodas. 

  • Dr Seenivasagam Park: known to have named after the politician and social worker Dr Seenivasagam, the park has a cluster of Japanese zen gardens, a play area for children and a nursery. It is known for its lush greenery that offers serene views. 

  • Geological Museum: structured and divided into seven different zones, this museum exhibits about over 150 rock specimens, 200 gemstones, and mining activities that hold the geological heritage of Ipoh.

Travel tips: 

  • This theme park is located in Negeri Perak and takes about 20 minutes via Jalan Tambun Road from the city centre. 

  • You can get here by car, bus or train. If you choose to get here by car then you would have to drive for 20 minutes to reach this place. If you would like to consider travelling by train then take the Electric train to reach Ipoh city centre from Kuala Lumpur and then you would have to take a 20-minute cab ride to get here. If you choose to take a bus then get on one of the express buses to reach the city centre from Kuala Lumpur and then take a 20-minute cab from there to reach the park.

  • The working timings of the park during weekdays are from 11.00 am – 6.00 pm and weekends are 10.00 am – 6.00 pm

  • Entry Fees for Adults is RM 70 (Non-Malaysians pay RM 100), for Children (below 12) it is RM 62 (Non-Malaysians RM 93), for Seniors (age 60+) it costs RM 62 (Non-Malaysians RM 93) and for Kids below 90cm- the entrance is free of cost. 

  • Opening timings of the Lost World Hot Springs & Spa By Night is 6 pm – 11 pm, it is closed every Tuesday except during Malaysian School Holidays and Public Holidays.

  • For lost World Hot Springs & Spa By Night the entrance fee for Children is RM 42 (Non-Malaysians RM 52) and for Adults- it is RM 50 (Non-Malaysians RM 60).

  • The Crystal Spa Treatment will be open from 12 noon – 11 pm. 

  • The ticket counter will provide you with a wristband that must be worn all the time when you are inside. 

  • Outside food is not strictly not encouraged inside the park. 

  • Safely rules are to be strictly enforced and followed and carry your identity proof with you. 

  • Take care of yourself and your belongings inside the park, any sort of weapons, glass objects or pets are not allowed inside the park. 

  • Children below 12 years of age should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

  • Basic medical facilities will be given but in case of emergency Sunway medical centre is just 2 minutes from the park.
