A few months ago we showed you a few leaks from the Brazilian Patent Register where you could clearly see the more conventional silhouette the brand's future B-segment sedan would have and which today takes the very unattractive fit.

Well, today the all-new Honda City Hatchback 2021 was unveiled in Thailand, a model that joins the city sedan that debuted in the same country a year ago and is positioning itself as an entry-level model. range in the Honda range less in our region.

Honda City Hatchback – Exterior

Style-wise, it's no surprise as the City Hatchback shares the same front end as its sister sedan and features the same design for the headlights, grille, hood and bezels. This continues in the silhouette, with a distinctive line of lines running over the handles and connecting the front and rear light groups.

Of course, the differences come from the C-pillar, which is more vertical than in the sedan. The hatchback model's roofline is extended by a spoiler before dropping into the steeply sloping tailgate, creating the classic tailgate silhouette. At the rear, it has its own lighting design with an LED light signature similar to that of the sedan.

The RS version gains in sportiness with a set of black trim on the grille, mirror caps, spoiler, rear diffuser and 16-inch wheels.

Length: 4345mm, 208mm shorter than the city sedan, but 232mm longer than the Fit.

Width: 1748mm, same as sedan, but 56mm wider than Fit

Height: 1488mm, 21mm higher than the sedan but 46mm lower than the Fit

2589mm between axles, identical to the sedan and 59mm longer than the Fit.

Honda City Hatchback – Interior

The interior of the City Hatchback, with its horizontal design, is almost identical to that of the City Sedan. It includes an 8-inch touchscreen integrated into the dashboard, four large ventilation slots, analog markings with digital display and a multifunction steering wheel.

It has air conditioning, an electrical outlet, USB ports, several storage spaces, two cup holders and a center armrest, although this is only the case in the larger versions.

Honda says the sedan offers more legroom than the sedan and is spacious enough to carry five very comfortable passengers.

In addition, Ultra seats are equipped with four customizable configuration modes for every need: Utility (60:40 rear seat backrests and flat floor), Long (rear and front passenger seats folded down to create a long cargo space), Large (seats) raised at the rear to create a higher cargo space) and Refresh (all extended to form a sort of double bed).
