Now we all know how the quality of camera has increased over the past few years. And now we get android phones with a spectacular camera quality. People don’t generally buy a camera for the purpose of clicking a photo, they choose to buy a multi-purpose device with a tiny camera embedded inside it. That can click some of the amazing photos and it will always be in your pockets. The problem arises that the camera and most of its amazing features are forgotten and locked inside the camera application that comes with the phone itself. But we can’t call it a huge problem as most of the features are provided by the phone makers and it generally includes a good camera app on the phone and we all know how it sells. Now there are some apps in the Google play store that can increase your photography talent to a whole new level.

Then if you don’t want to rely on other apps to do your work for you, we have good news for you. Android 12 is coming soon with few camera changes. They are introducing Camera2 API. The Camera2 API is a part of an Android that allow its users to connect to and use the camera without writing any code to control it or interface with it.

Android 12 is allowing different social media apps to not only easily access the information but also access the important features that phone has in its camera application. Specifically, we’re talking about any high-resolution camera, beauty filters, bokeh features (both true and AI-generated), HDR, and night modes. Now you can also leveagerage a particular mode where there is appropriate feature is needed depending on your condition on which you want to click photos.

Now the third-party developers have had to build their own camera features which is why some of the apps are beating iOS in their features.

We all know how third-party apps have their own shooting modes and also have their own filters and often works very good but not all the time. But it usually doesn’t and the camera access that phone makers have inside their own camera app works better than these things.  Now, every app has this level of access through the standard Android camera API. Now there is a catch that we all didn’t know about.

They should have realised this with the release of cameraX Jetpack library. Now it gave phone makers a way to expose their features to the third-party developers in a very similar way. But the problem was that most manufacturers didn’t work on their end. And why did manufacturers didn’t do their part let us tell you a company like Samsung would be happy if you are using their camera application so it can gather usage data much easier, and it makes the phone’s camera app look like the best in a sea of others.Though this wasn’t a great new for the users because they rather have Instagram to have access of things like portrait mode. Then do things like first you open your own phone camera select the portrait mode and then click a picture and then import it in the Instagram. Which is a fine thing to do for one photo or two. But when you want to click multiple pictures and you have switch between the apps that doesn’t sounds fun. After all, not every app that uses camera for something is not a camera app.

Also, now with android 12 it is bound to suffer the same fate. Which is where Google has stepped in and warned the developers that they will query about the device and see if a particular feature is given access to the third-party apps. Because specific extension is only to be allowed to support a subset of camera features and resolutions not the whole thing.

Now the ending words are this we don’t know and there is no say that what the phone makers will decide to do. For our happiness its time whey should provide everything that the android has to offer. Then with Android 12 there is also more pressure on manufacturers to provide this feature to support on the phone. Just wait and see what happens when the android 12 comes out.
