It's time to move. Will you be renting another apartment or buying one of the townhomes for sale in Debary, FL? If you have not given much thought to the pros and cons of each, now is the time to do so. When you begin to do your research, you will probably come to the conclusion that living in a townhouse is what is right for you. Here is why:

#1 Extra space

All living options come in a variety of sizes, but for the most part, an apartment is going to be significantly smaller than a townhouse. The average townhome is somewhere between 1,200 square feet and 1,500 square feet. It's not unheard of to see townhomes space go all the way up to 2,000 square feet. To compare it, the average size of new apartments in the U.S. in 2018 is 941 square feet. That's quite a difference! Tallahassee, FL offers the most spacious rentals in the U.S., at 1,038 square feet on average, and that's still not what you would get in a townhouse. If you have kids, pets, or simply don't want to live in a cramped space, you're going to want to opt for a townhome.

#2 Your own yard

One thing you'll absolutely never find with an apartment is your own yard. The green space is invaluable! Kids need to get out and run around. Pets need to go potty. Many adults like to plant flowers. Perhaps you simply like to sit on your porch with a cup of coffee and enjoy a tiny slice of nature. All of this is possible with a townhouse.

#3 Convenient parking

A townhouse will have a garage and a driveway that fits a car or two. This is a much more convenient way to live for nearly everyone. Visitors can usually fit in your driveway or at the very least park along the street in front of the house. By comparison, apartment complexes may not guarantee you a parking space at all, especially one right in front of your door. When visitors come over, they'll have to park in a far away spot on the other side of the parking lot.

#4 Owning rather than renting

None of the space and convenience factors even begin to breach the benefits of owning your home rather than renting it from a management company. Instead of giving your money to someone else for no return, owning a townhouse allows you to put your money into a mortgage payment that is an investment. When you're ready to move again, you'll actually make money. Renting an apartment means this investment is benefitting an LLC or corporation somewhere. Perhaps you decide you don't ever want to move and eventually pay off your mortgage and live for free!

Renting an apartment doesn't offer you all that you're looking for. For a variety of reasons, you are probably going to be happier purchasing one of the townhouses for sale in Debary, FL.
