The leaks pertaining to the upcoming Disney+ show WandaVision has revealed that a major character will be killed off in the limited series.

However, the show will go on, and so will the MCU.

First of all, you should be informed that the filming of the upcoming series has already been done. In simple terms, it means that the Scarlet Witch aka Wanda Maximoff is gearing up to aid Stephen Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) in the upcoming film “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”

The upcoming Marvel tentpole is all set to begin it’s filming and while we can expect Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff to be a part of the film, the fate of her costars like Paul Bettany’s Vision is walking on a thin rope.

The revival of a deceased character is a traditional norm in a superhero project, and we have seen enough such examples be it via retcons, doppelganger, or story loopholes. Bringing someone back from death isn’t something that is considered difficult in a superhero or a science fiction film. You must have heard that quote from James Cameron that no one really dies in a science fiction film.

We have seen enough examples in MCU films as well so we cannot really write off a comeback for any character in any superhero project. The only thing the creators need is to have talented enough writers onboard who can comprehensively pull off a character come back.

Take the example of Avengers: Infinity War. Vision died twice; first, he was killed by Wanda (as a sacrifice) then by Thanos who had inverted time to bring him back only to forcefully remove the mind stone from his forehead which eventually led to his demise.

The mind stone was the last stone Thanos needed to complete his gauntlet, and he was successful in the process. Thor tried to kill him before the snap, but he was unsuccessful as he didn’t go for his head.

Anyways, Vision had died in the Infinity War, and he was not seen in the Avengers: Endgame which led some to believe that since he hadn’t died because of the snap, his end might have already come in the MCU. However, JARVIS turned Vision will be seen again in the WandaVision tv-series and Paul Bettany’s portrayal in the tv series will mark the second coming of him. However, some theories suggest that his stay in the Marvel Phase 4 is not for long and we may see only a short-lived version of him in WandaVision.

Some fan theories have suggested the fact that Vision does not exist for real in the warped sitcom and he may only be a part of Wanda’s imagination or the version of himself in the altered reality that Wanda has created.

Some wilder theories have even suggested that the Wanda and Vision that we see in the trailer aren’t Wanda and Vision at all. They are actually different characters in a parallel reality.

In the trailer, we can quite clearly see that Vision is oblivious to what’s happening around him. The trailer even showed that he is unaware of the fact that he is dead (when he talks to Agatha Harkness).

Agatha Harkness is a comic character and is probably Wanda’s companion which Marvel is planning to introduce in the upcoming series.

Whatever is the case, we can all agree that we just cannot wait anymore for the show. However, the show can only arrive on Disney+ on January the 15th of next year not before that.
