Prioritize and divide your work.
As a blogger, you need to hundred works. From writing content to proofreading, to image creation to social media promotion, bloggers need to do everything. So, to utilise your time wisely, always prioritize your works.
What I do is, I divide the tasks according to the time they need to be completed. Then I finish the tasks which involve more times first. Then I finish the medium ones and the shortest tasks are done quickly in a short span of time. I also divide my work throughout the week during the weekends, when it is impossible to work for longer hours, I read other blog posts. I also schedule my social media posts during the weekends. It helps me to focus on writing on the remaining days of the week.
Schedule the things
I created the following blogging schedule for myself. The schedule was designed in such a way that even if you have just one hour a day, you can still grow your blog. (Pin the image for later use! You can also read the post here)
You can also use your spare times to schedule posts on your Facebook page. If you use scheduling apps like HootSuite or Buffer, you can also schedule everything.
Prepare a daily schedule for all your works. Make it flexible so that you do not stress about it and waste time. Scheduling things is another of easy tips for time management.
Keep a notebook
I swear by my notebook. I jot down every single thing in my notebook and assign time to the tasks accordingly. I am also old school enough to strike down every single task that I complete.
This habit helps me to track the tasks better than any time management app on my phone.
Switch off your phone when you write.
Absolutely yes! No more checking the email or scrolling down FaceBook or Instagram during the writing time. This simple habit can help you to manage your time effectively along with increasing your productivity.
Create an outline of your blog post every time
Whenever a thought comes to your mind, just put down it in your notebook with two three lines about it. When you write the gist along with the idea it gives you access to the thought you had about the particular idea. This easy tip also saves time as you do not have to wreck your brain about the idea and the thoughts you had about it.
Put your focus on one thing at any given point in time.
Do not multitask when you blog. If you are writing, just write. If you are processing your images, just do it. Do not mix things. It will not only hamper your creativity but it will also consume more time.
