Secondly, FUE technique employs harvesting of hair follicles individually from the donor area by punch followed by transplantation of grafts at the recipient site.

Steps in hair transplant procedure?
Hair transplant is performed in various sections in single session and employs multiple steps including:
- Firstly, the hair in the donor area is trimmed. The extent of shaving the head depends upon the technique opted. FUT technique does not require complete shaving of head unlike FUE technique where the head is shaved completely.
- Once the head is trimmed as per the technique, the donor area is locally anaesthetized.
- The hair follicles are extracted from the donor area considering safe area in mind and avoiding overharvesting. The graft harvesting is performed as per the technique chosen FUT, FUE or combination technique. These procedures are performed under high magnification.
- The harvested tissue is then send to the technicians for graft harvesting in case of FUT and combination technique after which the donor area is sutured preferably using trichophytic closure method for obtaining nearly invisible scar.
- Local anaesthesia is administered in the recipient area and is prepared for implantation of hair follicles.
- Follicular grafts obtained from the donor site are placed in tiny space created for the implantation according to the natural hairline design in the recipient area.
- Single grafts are placed in the front line and in the temporal triangles for natural appearance followed by placement of multiple and thick grafts in rear lines for fuller look.
- After the procedure tiny clots will be visible in the transplanted site which will be washed by professional team after 24 hours of the procedure.
- Post operative instructions are carefully given which would be followed for around 15 days post hair transplantation.
