England has named their 32-man team for the Six Nations under-20s, which includes six players of that level of experience.

These include Gloucester flanker Jack Clement, Eddie Jones who was called up to the team at the end of 2020, and young Leicester Tigers substitute Jack Van Poortvliet.

Head coach Alan Dickens is enthusiastic about the team's performance in the recent training camp for the first game against France.

Dickens said: “That we have achieved to improvement some playing time and I’m very happy during a challenging season the boys have performed well.

“Some players were out due to injuries and of course only 32 people were lucky enough to be selected, this should be a wider team effort at St. George's Park but since our first North-South game last November.

“Above the last six weeks, we have planned several camps which helped to bring the team organized. The preparations have been well done and the commitment of the players is high.

“Some of us returned in the second year of the U20s, but because of Covid, the rest were not lucky enough to play at the U18 level last year.

“I'm indeed looking onward to being able to dress England jerseys to signify their country. This is something that many of them haven't done in a long time.”

The British players will head to a training camp at Bisham Abbey on June 13 and then travel to Wales for the tournament, where the first game against France will be played on June 19.
