Phones and especially smartphones are smart enough, but as they are devices and humans can control them, sometimes the misuse also creates a problem. If someone buys your phone and tries to misuse the data, you are probably unaware of how one can do this as you have done the reset and nothing remains in your phone. But here, the secret world of hacking came. You know about the deleted file recovery software. They can similarly restore the files by using some tricks for which you are not aware.

In the meantime, you preserve the passwords, account information, notes, and other essentials required in the smartphone. In the meantime, you don’t understand what you should do on the phone before selling the phone, and you simply choose to reset to factory settings and sells the phone.

But did you know that hackers can easily steal your phone’s data these days? Even if you reset or reset the phone to a factory, personal information can be stolen from your old Facebook, Instagram, or bank account passwords by hacking. Today we bring you some tips and tricks that can help you avoid it.

Don’t forget to back up phone numbers

Phone numbers can easily be misused, and most users back up photos and videos, but they forget to back up phone numbers. In such a situation, it can be dangerous, and anyone can take advantage of those numbers. So, to back up phone numbers, you must first go to Settings- Accounts->Google->Backup and create a backup.

If you are planning to buy a new phone which doesn’t have a memory card slot or you don’t need the memory card, as phones have enough internal memory, then before selling or giving it to anyone, delete all the data of your card by formatting, for this firstly back all photos and videos.

  1. Connect your mobile to a system with a USB cable. If you are using Mac, make sure you have the Android File Transfer application installed before beginning the process.
  2. Open My Computer on your system or Finder on Mac.
  3. Navigate to the SD card, copy all files you want to save to your system.
  4. After the copying is completed, you can unplug the phone.

Now, you can format your SD card.

  1. On your cell phone, go to Settings > Storage.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap on Erase SD card. You’ll get a warning message here telling you that you’ll lose all the data on the SD card.
  3. Tap the Erase SD card button to proceed.

Delete data forever

No matter how you delete the data, it finally remains on your phone. You have to fill the space with something else, delete it, repeat this process several times, and your original data is gone forever.

So, for instance, if you have a 64GB microSD card you’ve erased – reconnect it to your PC, and copy files that are about 64GB to the card. Delete the files right away. Do this repeatedly, two or three times. The whole process shouldn’t take more time which depends on the card’s speed, but you can then safely sell the card as well.

Keep this in mind while doing backup

Every user can save their data to the hard disk and computer before selling the phone. In the meantime, he backs up the rest of the data. But forgets to delete those data manually. In such a case, anyone can use photos, videos, and data incorrectly. So always keep these things in mind.

By following these steps, your data will be safe with you, and you are safe from any kind of fraud or unethical activities.
