With Google’s improved privacy control options, you can erase data from the last 15 minutes.

Do you think about mistakenly revealing your embarrassing history to anyone? Well, Google has improved the privacy control and features along with the ability to erase anything you have seen in the last 15 minutes. Google is introducing these features to protect your privacy on online activity. The new ‘Quick Delete’ feature allows users to have greater control over their data, especially via its Chrome browser.

Google has recently shifted its focus towards privacy and security, which led to better improvement plans for most of its services. Google has also introduced new techniques to guide customers to protect their privacy online. For instance, Google presented new policies for privacy matter to Chrome, which also includes an auto-delete method to erase user’s location history.

With the auto-delete method, the company has announced that it will be including privacy labels for apps, which will be coming next year. This feature is mostly similar to the feature recently introduced to the iOS App Store by Apple. Regardless of introducing these auto-deletion and various kinds of privacy features, Google still needs to cover a long distance of improved security parameters. However, the recent changes have pushed Google a little more forward.

Google announced new tools, which will help users shield their private contents and control their privacy. The news was announced during the Google I/O 2021 developer conference, during which Google announced a new feature of ‘Quick Delete’. Most importantly, the newly introduced feature makes it easier for people to erase the entire history of the last fifteen minutes just by one click.

If you are wondering where you can find this feature, then read this carefully. You can find the new feature ‘Delete last 15 minutes in the account menu of Google, which is only accessible by clicking on their profile icon.

How can you protect your privacy in other ways?

Other than the option of Quick delete, the company also introduced Locked Folder for Google Photos, which allows users to conceal sensitive items like videos or photos to protect from inviting any accidental prying. In addition, Google will remind users about their location history that they have visited before whenever they will look for the places in Maps.

Here comes another exciting part, which is, the upcoming final release of Android 12 will include a new feature of Privacy Dashboard. The Privacy Dashboard will let users check on which applications have gained permissions from smartphones and data about when those permissions were accessed by installed applications.

With the help of the latest features or tools, the company is trying to be translucent with users on the fact of how the company’s own applications utilize the data and information related to privacy. The option of Quick Delete will be useful for each user, as everyone wants to protect their search history, and whatever may be the content, everyone does it. This will be helpful to shield your data before you hand out your device to someone else and they start prying on what you do. Also, with other features, users will be able to gain visibility and control over how various smartphone apps process their data.
