These next-gen consoles are going to be all about graphics that are so sharp you’ll be able to see the sweat on the brow of an alien. How successful a game is, can be known from how well it immerses its users. It is fair to say that player choice is essential in helping the user connect better with the game and its storyline.

These next-gen consoles are going to be all about graphics that are so sharp you’ll be able to see the sweat on the brow of an alien. How successful a game is, can be known from how well it immerses its users. It is fair to say that player choice is essential in helping the user connect better with the game and its storyline. The new Halo Infinite will provide the player with more choices in the decisions that can be made as Master Chief.

So How Is The New Halo Going to Be Different From Halo-IV and Halo-V?

Halo IV focused more on the storyline. Though the storytelling was wonderfully done, the game fell short in the multiplayer domain. However, with Halo V, the focus was shifted to multiplayer, and the storyline took a backseat. The new Halo Infinite is set on delivering the best of both worlds. Having learned from their past criticisms, the developers really hope to get the balance right this time.

Xbox has clearly made a big statement about how strong Halo Infinite is going to be on the graphics front, and yet the graphics in the trailer demo don’t quite seem to live up to expectations. The second trailer uploaded after having received the feedback on the first showcased the graphics better. Another aspect to consider with the graphics is the art style of Halo. No matter the graphic quality, the fact that it looked like Halo could not be denied.

Fast Loading Time

The response time has also been cut down significantly. The game is going to load much faster and is expected to keep up with its competitors on this front. According to Microsoft, the Xbox Series X will be able to run Halo Infinite at a speed of 60 fps.

Keeping up With the Competition

With various players in the gaming market, Xbox has not been faring as well as it’s competitors. Currently, Sony is the biggest player having made the largest amount of sales globally. Nintendo comes in second with its recent surge in popularity. Microsoft pulls in third with the Xbox. Both Microsoft and Sony are going to be employing different strategies. Where Sony plans on limiting the release of it’s new games to the PlayStation 5, Microsoft will introduce its titles for a variety of systems namely the new Xbox series, PC, and the older Xbox One.

It is important to understand that Xbox users can be divided into two major groups. The first being the hardcore Halo fans that love Master Chief and the storyline. The second group consists of the players who don’t have much care for the story but like to indulge in multiplayer. If Microsoft manages to nail the balance between the two with the new Halo Infinite, it could potentially change the market scenario.

Other Games

Forza Motorsport 8

Introduced at the Xbox Series X showcase, Forza Motorsport 8 is a simulation racing game. However, the game is still in the developing phase, and there is no news about its release date.

Hellblade 2

This game is set in Iceland and is said to have a very realistic feel. Antoniades, from Ninja Theory, took a trip to Iceland shortly after finishing with Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. He was so struck by the beauty of the landscape that he was inspired to set the sequel in that very landscape. The audio and the visuals have been largely captured first hand from a physical visit to Iceland. This has helped create a very authentic 9th-century Icelandic environment for the game. In Hellblade 2, Senua’s character as a warrior has been deeply explored. A much darker side of her personality has been showcased as she embarks on her quest in the sequel.

Grounded

The game features a shrunken version of the player who will be battling the likes of insects in a backyard. The look of the game will make you feel like you’re part of a Pixar animation. It is essentially a survival game with a twist.

State of Decay 3

This game by Undead Labs is a zombie horror game. The game feels very real as the lead character struggles for survival in a forest with her battle against the zombies. The graphics and audio make it much scarier than it sounds.

Tell Me Why

Tell Me Why is a narrative-driven game that will be coming out in August. It is based in Alaska and explores the childhood of a set of twins. It will also be introducing the lead character role as a transgender for the very first time.

So far, if Microsoft manages to hit all the sweet spots, it seems like the new machine will be an absolute game-changer. It will show us what the next generation of gaming will bring beyond speedy responses and better graphics. Let’s see how the Xbox-Playstation battle fares this year. No matter how many teasers and demos we watch, the real understanding of what the company has in store for us will only come once the machine finally hits the market.
