The Honda Jazz, with its hybrid driveline, is not the most exciting car through the newsroom, but it is affordable and smart for the target group.

Honda Jazz hybrid offers two variants, and we choose to test the crossbar model, which is slightly higher and belongs to the cross-SUV segment according to the manufacturer's own qualification. Although the car is small and dexterous, the interior space is still spacious, and it is easy to get on and off. In addition, the low cost of ownership ensures that it has good conditions to go home, so that those who do not care about their identity and strong power but care more about practicability. Easy car ownership. Did we hear about the retirement car?

The internal material selection is simple, but still reliable. We felt very good in the front seats and the driver environment felt spacious. The buttons and controls are clearly marked and in the right place in our eyes. The screen that you can control many of the features in MMI looks like a tablet computer in front of the fan valve, but the touch response is good, and there are no question marks about where to find features and settings. But there's not much exciting exploration here.

Honda calls its hybrid system the E: HEV, where a four-cylinder gasoline engine works with an electric motor. The transition is really smooth, and only the sound will show up when we change the way we drive. The sound also quickly shows that the gearbox is a CVT transmission, which is not very fun. It spins up and down in the case of too many things happening unconsciously.

Now it's not a performance freak, harvesting 0-100 km / h in less than 10 seconds, but the car still feels fast and comfortable. Especially in urban environments, you can choose between economical and standard driving modes. Although we drive a shorter distance in fact, we can only drive 0.44 liters of gasoline per mile during the test week. Impressive!

The car's comfort is OK, but it's leaking too much wind and road noise, so we can't drive a long distance on the highway. The jingling sound we make when we close the door shows that insulation and quality are not top of the line. Given the price range of Jazz, it's no surprise.

The car has adaptive cruise control and Lane Assist, and the former function works well. The lane assist function can be set in two locations, one of which is combined with the cruise control system, which can provide you with the automatic driving vehicle until the system warns and requests us to hold the steering wheel. In the second mode, Lane Assist does not work properly, where it often vibrates on the steering wheel or displays warning signs on the dashboard, which often makes it impossible for us to access the file markers.

There are many security systems in the price range, but unfortunately there is no blind spot warning. The parking sensor works well just like the road sign reader. It's digital, and it's completely digital. If you don't want to use your phone, the navigator is also included in the system.

The back seats are a little cramped, but you can take four people in this small car. The car is connected and has an SOS button on the roof, but there is no app or opportunity to access the car remotely. There is an application menu, but it only contains shortcuts to the broadcast service and various settings in MMI. However, it supports Apple Carplay and Android Auto. To our delight, Carplay can also work wirelessly, which is not common.

Whether in terms of design, function or driving experience, the car does not stand out from the crowd. However, a week after working with Jazz Hybrid Crossbar, most of them are still positive impressions. It's a smart, affordable and simple car that we think suits many people.
