Well, I recently got to know that every airline across the globe has a 24 hour risk-free cancellation period. As per which, any cancellation within 24 hours of making the reservations despite the refundable or non-refundable ticket types will be free.
Isn't it cool. But most of the time. We think that a simple change to the existing reservation will work. But who knows. Maybe the cancellation is the better option.
So, I just gathered different fees associated with ticket types at Spirit Airlines.
Spirit Cancellation Policy And Fee For Standard And Award Ticket
For Standard Tickets:-
- USD $90 If A Passenger Cancels It Online Through Spirit.com Website Or App.
- USD $100. If You Want To Cancel It Over The Call With Spirit Airlines Customer Service Agent.
For Award Tickets:-
- USD $110 Per Passenger On A PNR. The Cancellation Fee Will Remain the Same. Irrespective Of The Mode Of Request. That Is Online Or Offline (By Calling Spirit Airlines Customer Service).
Note:- Refund to the original form of the payment is only possible if a passenger requests a refund within 24 hours of making reservations. Failed to do the same may result in the issuance of the future credit only.
I hope that the above information will help someone really in need of the same. But make sure to call the airline directly rather than calling any third-party travel agency and spend some extra money.
