The latest report by platform WABetaInfo, which monitors WhatsApp updates and features, states that online status for business accounts can be turned off with the new function. According to the publication, testers have reported that WhatsApp Business Beta for Android version 2.21.13.17 has seen a new change. The leaker had earlier considered it a bug but later confirmed that now you can hide your online status.
Many businesses demanded the feature earlier
For businesses, online status is not visible, nor is ‘last seen.’ The decision to remove the feature from WhatsApp for Business was made in response to user feedback. Many businesses did not want their online status to be visible to customers, while others did. However, it is unclear whether WhatsApp will include the option to hide the ‘online’ status in its Android and iOS apps.
New shortcuts in the app
Changes are being made to the beta version, and users will now get three new goal shortcuts under the profile area. The screenshot shared by Leaker shared a screenshot that shows that users will be given messages, calls, and forward options. While the first two features are cleared by name, the third forward option will allow WhatsApp users to share business information with other users.
Only business account gets the feature
