Netflix is home to so many originals that people have been obsessing over and have been binge-watching, especially post the lockdown. With almost six months into the lockdown, the popular question has been “what to watch now’? And for those who need new treats, Netflix has good news for you. It is releasing new shows in September, and here is a list of the shows to watch out for.

The Devil All The Time

Releasing on – 16th September 2020

The Devil All The Time is coming out with one of the most stellar cast you would have ever seen. The film is set in a period during the Vietnam War and the second world war in rural Ohio and is based on a book by Donald Ray Pollock. It is a psychological thriller starring Tom Holland as Arvin Russell who fights off people who are threatening the security of his family. The series also stars Robert Pattinson, Chris Evans, Bill Skarsgard, Riley Keough and others.

Ratched

Releasing on – 18th September 2020

Ratched tells the origin story of the evil asylum nurse, Mildred Ratched who arrives in Northern California in 1947, seeking a job in a psychiatric hospital, where new and unsettling experiments on the human mind have begun. She portrays herself as the perfect nurse who would be needed for the post but then tries to infiltrate the mental care system.

The show stars Sarah Paulson as the evil nurse, Mildred Ratched, along with Jon Jon Briones, Cynthia Nixon, Sharon Stone and Charlie Carver. It is based on a book, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey and is created by Evan Romansky.

Young Wallander

Releasing on – 3rd September, 2020

Young Wallander comes as the prequel series to BBC series Wallander. Young Wallander stars Adam Palsson as the young Wallander along with Leanne Best, Elsie Chappell, Jacob Collins-Levy, Richard Dillane and Charles Mnene.

The story is about a seventeen-year-old Missouri teen, Veronica who discovers that she is pregnant which would break her dreams of finishing her high school and going to an Ivy league college.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things

Releasing on – 4th September 2020

I’m Thinking of Ending This is an American horror psychological horror film which is written and directed by Charlie Kaufman. It is based on a book by Iain Reid by the same name and stars Jesse Plemons, Jesse Buckley, Toni Collette and David Thewlis.

The film starts with a young woman who takes her boyfriend on a road to their family farm and gets stuck in the middle due to a snowstorm, where she meets Jake’s (Jesse Plemons) parents. After meeting them she begins to question everything including herself and her boyfriend.

Enola Holmes

Releasing on – 23rd September 2020

Enola Holmes is a mystery film that is based on a book by Nancy springer of the same name. The film is about the adventures of Sherlock Holmes’  younger sister, Enola Holmes who is in her teenage years. 

The film is directed by Harry Bradbeer and stars Millie Bobby Brown (who is also one of the producers of the film), Sam Klafleen, Adeel Akhtar and Fiona Shaw.

September is going to be a fun-packed month for all the Netflix fans and it will be a delight for them to watch some interesting originals that will also bring back some of their favorite stars on the screen like, Millie Bobby Brown, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson etc.
