Lupus is an inflammatory, chronic, autoimmune disease; it affects the connective tissue and blood. There are two kinds of lupus. The symptoms of lupus can vary and do according to the severity of the illness and the affected organs, if any. SLE, the more serious type, can occur suddenly. It will seem like a very bad infection accompanied with a fever. It can also appear slowly sometimes over years.
