It was, since at the Indonesian Show last year, the GIIAS 2019, a new Scooter, striking by design and technology, is presented, the Honda ADV 150. That scooter shares the base of the Honca PCX 150 but is inspired by the design of the X-ADV 750. And from that moment we have been looking forward to its appearance.

As we said, the Honda ADV 150 comes with a design language that has been inspired by the X-ADV 750 but based on a PCX 150. Its design attracts our attention, it is FUTURISTIC, aggressive and muscular, where the lines its dual Full LED front optics dominate its front as well as the “X” -shaped rear optics in addition to the Daylight function also LED. The bodywork is shown with sharp lines and together with the metallic colors, they give the scooter a premium and high-quality look as Honda is accustomed to.

Security System

The motorcycle is started with a button and thanks to the SMART KEY smart key it is not necessary to take it out of your pocket thanks to its presence start system. It also has an Alarm System and an ingenious safety feature called the ESS Emergency Stop Signal that automatically turns on the BEACONS when the scooter suddenly brakes for complete safety. In Brazil, it is offered with two Dual-CBS or ABS braking options that, added to eye-catching 240mm lobed discs at the front and 220mm at the rear, ensure excellent stopping.

Suspensions

The Honda ADV 150 also features a Showa® telescopic front suspension with the longest travel in its class, 130mm. And in the rear, a pair of shocks, also Showa® premium that have remote external reservoirs and triple speed springs that control 119 mm of travel, added to MIXED 110/80 tires with 14-inch alloy wheels in front and a 110/80 with 13-inch wheels at the rear and 45-degree exhaust that allows for 165mm ground clearance, make it ideal for venturing off-road.

Engine

It shares the 149.3 cc single-cylinder with the PCX, which delivers a maximum power of 14.5 hp at 8,500 rpm and has a torque of 13.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm with injection and PGM-FI ignition that incorporates the system. IDLE-STOP fuel saver that stops the engine at stops such as traffic lights. On the other hand, engine starting is also smooth thanks to the presence of the Honda ACG alternating current generator. Basically, it eliminates the need for a separate starter motor and instead uses the same generator that powers the electrical system to start the engine. This makes for a super quiet start as there is no gear noise.

Chassis

It also shares the double cradle chassis with the PCX 150 which provides it with a low center of gravity, as the engine, transmission and fuel tank are mounted low on the frame. That helps drive, inspires confidence, especially in parking lots or heavy traffic conditions. The long, ergonomically stepped seat of the ADV150 is designed to provide comfort even for the passenger who obtains an elevated position, so that he can better see the driver’s surroundings.
