For decades, the biggest player in the field of medium-sized cars has been receiving awards, and the accord was Honda's most important car before crossover ruled the land. There is hardly anything in life that is as static as the Honda Accord.

The scenery is a little different now, but the Accord does not change a lot. The car enters its 10th generation in 2018 model year, with few updates in 2019 except for some pricing adjustments. Fortunately, in 2020, it's happening again.

Honda's technology products are quite democratic. The basic accord LX is the only 7-inch screen without touch, paired with a 1.0 AMP USB port. Each decoration has an 8-inch touch screen sound system, from Apple Carplay to Android auto. The sports trim has a 2.5 amp USB port on the front, while the other trim has a second 2.5 amp USB port on the centre console.

Embedded navigation is a standard configuration for tourist vehicles and is available on EX-L models equipped with any engine. Travel mode further adds wireless device charging, Wi Fi hotspot and near-field communication technology.

In terms of the power system and specifications, the 2020 Honda Accord is equipped with one of two engines. The base is a 1.5-liter turbocharged I4 that delivers 192 horsepower and 192 LBF ft of torque, while the unit of improvement is a 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 that makes 252 horsepower and 273 LBF ft. A continuously variable transmission is the standard 1.5L, and the 10-speed automatic is the standard 2.0L. However, the six-speed manual has the option of “Sport”, and the engine is in trim state.

The LX, ex and EX-L engines equipped with 1.5-liter engines are Honda's most efficient non hybrid vehicle protocol. EPA estimates that 30 miles per gallon is driven in cities and 38 miles in highways. Sport Decor falls to 29 mpg city and 35 mpg freeway with CVT, and the 6-speed manual is lower in 26-mile city. The most efficient 2.0-liter engine is the ex-l. on 23 mpg cities and 34 mpg highways, and each other adjustment only achieves 22 mpg cities and 32 mpg highways.

If that's not efficient enough for you, there's another option. Combining a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated I4 with an electric motor, the Honda Accord hybrid produce a net power of 212 horsepower. The 2019 Accord Hybrid achieves 48 mpg on both the city and the highway. Though Honda has yet to determine what will change in 2020, there is no reason to think there will be any difference.

Honda Accord offers up to five adult seats. With the exception of EX-L and station wagon, all interior upholstery uses fabric seats, while these two variants use rock leather upholstery. Only the base LX has a manually adjusted driver's seat, while the rest uses 12-way power adjustment. In the second row, all trims except LX have a 60 / 40 split fold – the LX can also fold down, but the seat back is integrated. The front heated seats are available from the front trim and only the travel trim extends the heating to the rear. Whether hybrid or not, the 2020 Honda Accord has a 16.7 cubic foot trunk.

In terms of sound, Accord LX has a four-speaker sound system, while sports and exterior trim upgrade it to eight speakers. EX-L and tour variants increase the count to 10 speakers, including a subwoofer.

Honda's active safety system and active safety system are equipped with Honda Accord, which includes front collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, automatic high beam, adaptive cruise control and traffic sign recognition. LX and Sport 1.5T trims do not accept blind spot monitoring, but all other trim will. The touring car also receives parking sensors.
