In the previous few weeks, the trainers of Pokemon Go were quite busy in Raid Battles and special events. It is because October brought some special events like Pikachu Spotlight hour, Fashion Week, and Limited Meowth Research. However, the October month is not over yet, and developers are still ready to bring some new surprises for the fans. The biggest surprise that will arrive is the Halloween celebration.

A few days before, Niantic announced that they were all set to launch a list of new Raid Bosses in October. Raid Battles are the biggest entertaining thing in Pokemon Go, and they change every week. However, the current Raid week will be slightly different and challenging. Niantic announced the arrival of Giratina Origin in 5-Star Raid Battles, and now the trainers are excited about Giratina Origin form and also for Mega Raid bosses.

Three types of Raid Battles are currently ongoing in Pokemon Go, which are 3-Star Raid Battles, 5-Star Raid Battles, and Mega Raids. All of these Raid Battles are difficult and offer separate types of powerful Pokemon to capture. Great thing about these Raid Battles is that players can encounter Pokemon with their shiny forms.

The shiny form appears when players take part in Raid Battles frequently by utilizing plenty of raid passes. This month, players have to spend a number of Raid Passes to encounter the shiny form of Giratina Origin.

Developers have announced that they will launch one more Raid Boss in the Halloween event. So until Niantic makes any changes in the game, players have to battle against current Raid Bosses.

Current Raid Bosses of October 2020

1 Star

  • Ferroseed
  • Pineco
  • Tangela
  • Timburr
  • Vulpix

3 Star

  • Breloom
  • Gloom
  • Noctowl
  • Pinsir
  • Sudowoodo

5 Star

  • Giratina Origin

Mega Raids

  • Mega Blastoise
  • Mega Charizard X
  • Mega Charizard Y
  • Mega Houndoom
  • Mega Pidgeot
  • Mega Venusaur

These following Pokemon are currently appearing in Raid Battles. If you are lucky, you can encounter shiny Pokemon as well. The chances of appearing shiny Pokemon is 1 in 15. So if you are fortunate, you’ll discover a shiny Pokemon in a few attempts.

Giratina is a Legendary Dragon/Ghost-type Pokemon with some powerful moves and plenty of weaknesses. This Legendary Pokemon is weak against Fairy, Dark, Dragon, Ice, and Ghost-type attacks. Ice, Dark and Ghost-type Pokemon are easily available, so make the best team using these Pokemon.

It is the second time Giratina appears in Raid Battle. A few months ago, Niantic released both Giratina Origin and Giratina Altered forms. Players who missed those Raid Battles can take part in current Raid Battles. The shiny form of Giratina is elegant and powerful and has both Dragon and Ghost-type moves.

Players usually use Giratina in Ultra League and Raid Battles because, and in these both battles, it helps a lot. A trainer that has Giratina lower than 2500CP can use it in Ultra League battles too.

Conclusion

The 5 Star and Mega Raids are the toughest Raid Battles of Pokemon Go. In 5 Star Raid Battles, only Legendary or Mythical Pokemon appears. At the same time, the 3 Star and Mega Raid Battles Pokemon are different. To evolve a Pokemon in Mega form, players have to collect Mega Energy obtained from Field Research tasks and Mega Raids.
