Niantic recently launched an epic event that made the whole week challenging for the trainers. In the current week of October, trainers have to take down Team Rocket Leaders to win some special offers like Strange Egg. Leader Arlo is still the same person, but Niantic has changed his Pokemon Lineup to make the competition more interesting. Now to obtain the strange egg, players have to defeat the leaders. If trainers successfully defeat every Team Rocket leader, they can get the chance to face off against Team Rocket Boss Giovanni as well.

In Pokemon Go, three Team Rocket leaders are available named Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra. Undoubtedly, all these leaders are powerful and carry strong Pokemon in battle. However, you can defeat these leaders if you have the information about their current Pokemon lineup. Arlo is the first leader of Team Rocket, and trainers are quite familiar with this member. However, during the event, his Pokemon lineup has changed.

Now trainers have to use strong counter Pokemon to defeat Arlo because he is more powerful than the last time he appeared. Leaders use defensive shields and the Shadow Pokemon that are 20% stronger than normal Pokemon. Before starting the battle against Arlo, you have to be prepared with proper strategy.

Arlo’s Pokemon Lineup

  • Growlithe
  • Charizard/Steelix/Blastoise
  • Scizor/Salamence/Dragonite

Growlithe Counters

  • Rhyperior – Smack Down/Stone Edge
  • Golem – Mud Shot/Rock Blast
  • Swampert – Mud Shot/Hydro Cannon
  • Omastar – Mud Shot/Rock Slide

Charizard Counters

  • Rhyperior – Smack Down/ Surf
  • Alolan Golem – Rock Throw/ Rock Blast
  • Tyranitar – Smack Down/ Crunch
  • Golem – Mud Shot/Rock Blast

Steelix Counters

  • Blaziken – Counter/Blaze Kick
  • Entei – Fire Spin/Flamethrower

Blastoise Counters

  • Venusaur – Vine Whip/Frenzy Plant
  • Leafeon – Quick Attack/Leaf Blade
  • Dragonite – Dragon Breath/ Dragon Claw

Salamence Counters

  • Regice – Lock On/Blizzard
  • Tyranitar – Smack Down/Crunch
  • Giratina Altered- Dragon Breath/Dragon Claw

Scizor Counters

  • Moltres – Fire Spin/Overthrow
  • Heatran – Fire Spin/Flamethrower
  • Charizard – Fire Spin/ Blast Burn

Dragonite Counters

  • Gyarados – Dragon Breath/Twister
  • Dialga – Dragon Breath/Draco Meteor
  • Regice – Lock On/Blizzard

By using the following lineup, trainers can easily take down Arlo’s Pokemon. While playing the battle, you have to configure your Pokemon in the current format to battle correctly. Apart from the mentioned Pokemon, there are many Pokemon that can be used in the battle. In the Pokemon world, you have to know the weakness and strength of every type of Pokemon. If you successfully understand elemental advantage, then you can win any battle easily.

The above mentioned Pokemon are usually registered to every trainer, and trainers can use these Pokemon in PVE and PVP battles. By using Charge or Fast TM, you can make any Pokemon powerful, but you need to improve their CP to make them reliable in a suitable League.

Conclusion

For a few months, Niantic has continuously worked on making the events more memorable. From launching the Community Day to Spotlight hour, Niantic has added perfect Pokemon in the slots. Now, after this Team Rocket event, Charmander Community Day is waiting for the trainers that will offer 3X stardust.
