Trainers have made their choice by voting, and now in September, “Porygon” is finally arriving. Niantic has revealed the September and October Community Day. Porygon won the voting, and Charmander made it to the second position. On September 20, Porygon will arrive for the first time in its regular and shiny form. Trainers are excited about September Community Day because Porygon never had any spotlight hour or Community Day. Porygon is not a strong Pokemon, but still, it’s a demanding Pokemon.

Porygon has two evolution forms, and both forms are quite impressive. However, the evolution of Porygon is not going to be easy this time. Porygon is a type of Pokemon that can’t be evolved with just candies. There are some Pokemon in the game that require some specific items to evolve. Porygon’s both evolutions (Porygon2 and Porygon-Z) require specific items to evolve. Evolving Porygon on Community Day could be slightly tricky, so it is necessary to prepare for it.

Evolving the Porygon in Porygon2 requires 25 Porygon candies and an Upgrade. After evolving in Porygon2, players will require 100 Porygon candies and one Sinnoh Stone to evolve in Porygon-Z. If players evolve Porygon in Porygon-Z on Community Day, they can get an exclusive move too. There are several ways to exist in the game to collect these items.

Mega Battle Challenge Timed Research

The first way is the “Mega Battle Challenge” that will start on September 11. Any player who successfully finishes the Timed Research challenge will earn both Sinnoh Stone and an Upgrade as a reward. Make sure to complete those tasks before they disappear.

The Mega Battle Challenge will start on September 11, 2020, from 8 AM to September 17, 2020, at 10 PM. To get the Sinnoh Stone and an Upgrade, players have to complete the tasks during the following Timed Research event.

September 20 Timed Research Tasks

The next one is “Community Day Timed Research” tasks that will start on September 20. The following Timed Research Tasks will offer several Sinnoh Stones and Upgrades for use in the event. Trainers can earn up to 3 Sinnoh Stones and Upgrades on September 20 by finishing the Timed Research challenges.

$1 Ticket Community Day Special Research Story

Community Day tickets are also a way to earn Sinnoh Stone and an Upgrade. The following event ticket cost $1 that offers some additional Special Research tasks. Completing those additional tasks provides Sinnoh Stone and an Upgrade to evolve Porygon.

By using all these opportunities, players can easily earn plenty of Sinnoh Stone and Upgrades. After having enough Sinnoh Stone and Upgrades, players can easily upgrade 3 to 5 Porygon. It may be a small number for most of the players, but it is the only advantage players can take.

Conclusion

After introducing the “Mega Evolution Special Research,” players have plenty of good stuff in the game. This new mechanism has provided a great opportunity to catch some amazing Pokemon. It will support the players to fill the Pokedex.
