The Boys season 2, episode 2 titled ‘Proper Preparation and Planning.’ This one starts with Billy Butcher’s (Karl  Urban) flashback when he remembers the day he saw Becca (Shantel VanSanten). Butcher didn’t get the chance to talk to Becca because Homelander (Antony Starr) presumably flew him away. Butcher then goes to a restaurant and notes down everything he could remember. He is still unable to realize that Becca has cheated on him and he is driven to search for her. Butcher is surprised to see himself on a news broadcast labeled as a suspect in the murder of Vought International’s Madelyn Stillwell (Elisabeth Shue).

Meanwhile, Homelander is disappointed at his son, Ryan (Cameron Cravetti), as he can’t help Homelander with any of it. On the other hand, there is Starlight (Erin Moriarty) struggling with her internal battles, who can’t be herself because of being raised as a superhero member of The Seven.

Later, Starlight joins Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott) and a new member of the Seven, Stormfront (Aya Cash). Right after this collaboration, Queen Maeve leaves due to a family emergency.

When Butcher finally meets Colonel Grace Mallory (Laila Robins) after the funeral of the CIA’s Susan Raynor (Jennifer Esposito), she threatens to turn him in for Stillwell’s murder.

However, Billy works out a deal with her. According to their deal, if he can help Mallory to arrest a suspected super-terrorist, she will clean his and the boys’ records. After carrying out a raid at the super terrorist place, the boys find out that the suspect is no one but Kenji (Abraham Lim), brother of their own Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara). Anyways, Butcher tries to shoot Kenji, and the fighting begins. Kenji manages to knock down Butcher, allowing him and Kimiko some time to talk about their being kidnapped. Moments later, Kenji and Kimono also start fighting, and then Mallory enters to knock down Kenji. This is when Billy finally reveals that he knows Becca is alive.

However, at this time, Starlight is fully aware that A-Train is back and has recovered from his heart attack. A-Train keeps on referring to Hughie, a “traitor boyfriend” of Starlight, which made her uncomfortable. Later, Gecko comes with a vial of Compound V and ends up blackmailing A-Train about his murdering Popclaw (Brittany Allen).
