In 2020, the average apartment size was 1,150 square feet, and in 2019 it was 1,050 square feet. In the seven largest cities, there is an average growth of apartments by 10%. With the emphasis suddenly being to embrace work from home and the culture of learning from home, apartment sizes began to increase for the first time in four years. Among the top seven cities, the average apartment size is the highest in Hyderabad at 1,750 square feet. It is twice the size of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), where the average size is 932 square feet, which is also the smallest among the largest cities in the country.
