Orders for the hybrid version of the Jazz Honda are now available, and delivery is expected to begin in the next few months. The next generation Honda Jazz hatchback is only be hybrid and return to 62.8 mpg. The new fourth generation Honda starts at 18,980 pounds. There are four interior levels, SE, SR, EX and Crossbar EX, which are priced at 23,580 pounds.

Honda has confirmed that the entry-level SE will start at 225 pounds a month with a customer deposit of 20% under the 36-month PCP financing agreement. Crystal black will be the default paint option, but you can choose from other colors at a price of 550 pounds or 650 pounds.

Full specifications have not yet been announced, but the top specification Crossbar EX models may get leather interiors, while most models will benefit from a new LCD touch screen that offers wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Wi Fi hotspots will also be available. The more rugged “crossbar” version will compete with Ford Carnival active.

2020 Honda Jazz — engine, MPG and performance

The Honda Jazz hybrid has been available before, but there is no other option for this new model. A 1.5-liter gasoline engine is matched with two compact motors and a small battery. The whole system produces 108bhp. That may not sound like much, but Jazz can accelerate from 0-62 miles per hour to a very impressive 9.4 seconds, and then reach a top speed of 108 miles per hour.

You don't have to plug in Jazz rechargeable batteries and power assistance mainly to improve fuel economy. You can expect up to 62.8 mpg standard mode and 58.9 mpg Jack crossbar, Honda says. There are three driving modes that allow you to choose between petrol, electricity or both.

Like most hybrids, the Jazz has only automatic transmission, but it eliminates the traditional transmission. It has a single fixed gear ratio, as you would in an electric car, which is smaller than the company's CVT transmission and ensures smooth acceleration.

Then let’s talk about its inside, the interior of Honda Jazz hybrid has been modified and there are a lot of color materials on the instrument panel. The design of the center console is simple and simple, while Jazz seems to be getting a new dual spoke steering wheel, similar to the Honda E. Behind the steering wheel, a digital dashboard is expected as standard.

Honda has added extra cushioning to the new seats to prevent pain during long trips, while the center armrest is a popular addition. We heard that the pillars of the windows are much thinner than before, which helps to improve visibility.

The practicability of new models will be improved. The slight increase in size has improved passenger space and trunk space, making the new jazz one of the most spacious and slim models on the market. Like previous cars, Honda's “magic seat” system will also be installed, which means the rear seats can slide back and forth, and if you need to carry large or bulky items, the seat base will fold up like a cinema seat.

The trunk space is 298 liters (approximately equivalent to the Ford Fiesta and Nissan Micah), or 1,203 liters of folding rear seats. The hybrid system takes up space under the trunk floor as the upcoming models offer 354L and 1,314L respectively.

The improvement of Honda's induction pack means the Jazz should be safer than ever. Its high-definition cameras provide better roadside signs and soft boundary perception, while automatic emergency braking (known as collision mitigation braking system, or CMBS) has more advanced night time capabilities to detect pedestrians and cyclists. Adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist are available, which are suitable for urban and rural roads and expressways.

The fourth generation Honda Jazz will retain its tall Mini MPV look. The front end includes new headlights with LED elements and shading grille panels to highlight the hybrid driveline. Below, the front bumper will get a slightly different vent design depending on the trim level, while the rear end has been similarly redesigned. A pseudo SUV style crossover version will be available for the first time, with black plastic body cladding, black roof, appropriate grille and silver roof rails.
