SRM University is a private deemed university, which is located in Kattankulathur, Chengapattu, Tamil Nadu India. It was established in 1985 in the name of SRM Engineering College. SRM University has a total of six campuses. And around 50,000 students study here.
The process of taking admission to SRM University is simple. The entrance exam is conducted to get admission to SRM. That exam is called SRMJEE which is conducted by SRM University. Application forms are announced in the month of January every year. In the month of June, the exam is held online. Applicants will fill their form online at the SRM University website.
WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR DIRECT ADMISSION IN SRM?
For Engineering the eligibility criteria are as follows.
- The age of the candidate to get admission in Engineering must be above 16 years.
- Candidate must have scored 50% marks in 12th Board Examination.
- For B. Tech in Genetic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, the candidate should secure 50% of marks in PCM or PCB.
- Direct admission is based on the rank of SRMJEE which is based on the score.
- Depending on the 12th marks and SRMJEE you get admission to SRM University.
