Renowned actor/comedian Vadivelu gave us so many super hits to look back to and have plenty of laughs. One of such movies is Sundara Travels, released in the year 2002 in Tamil, directed by Asokan. The movie was originally made in Malayalam named as Ee Parakkum Thalika, released in the year 2001. The movie was also remade in Telugu as Aaduthu Paaduthu and was a box-office hit. Vadivelu plays the character Azhagu in Sundara Travels, who’s the only friend of the main role Gopikrishna (Murali). Murali owns an old bus in the movie, which was given to him after his father’s death in an accident in the movie. Vadivelu is the bus cleaner and also an only companion of Murali. Vadivelu’s plans of going abroad are ruined when a mouse living in the bus bites off Vadivelu’s passport, which makes Vadivelu make revenge plans against the mouse in the movie. These scenes between Vadivelu and the mouse are absolutely hilarious and loved by the audience. Both Vadivelu and Murali plan on running a mobile kitchen (Tattukada) in the bus to earn money and make a living out of it, which is unfortunately ruined when a girl named Vasanthi (Radha) takes refuge in the bus in order to escape from her father (Vinu Chakravarthi) who’s a politician planning to marry her daughter to someone she doesn’t like. The whole story involves. Vadivelu and Murali saving her from the marriage by sneaking into her house and winning the heart of her father as Gopi falls in love with her. The scenes where Vadivelu and Murali try to impress Vinu Chakravarthi in his house form an epic laughing riot. The film was a huge hit in all the languages it was made and was considered one of the best comedy movies for the 90’s kids.
