On our show we have an inspirational story of Barkha Bhatnagar Das , co- founder of GREENDIGO. She gave up the short term comfort of her life for the long term win. Although it was not easy for her to leave the banking sector in which she gave her 15 long years and start up something like GREENDIGO. climate Entrepreneurs But she did it because she wanted to bring the change and save the nature. GREENDIGO is an organic cotton brand for apparels based in India where they make certified organic clothing thoughtfully designed for children. Barkha shares, how she was horrified with the abundance of synthetic fibers that have flooded our clothing markets.
The use of synthetic fibre is very much harmful for our skin and it takes long time to decompose which in turn causes long term pollution and affects our ecosystem badly. She decided to take a calculated risk and got persistent and determined to her goal. Their mission is to create consumer centric products which are environment friendly. She started her journey from zero waste at home and keeping in mind about health and safety which is a very big aspect of sustainability. Sustainable Fashion can be affordable and accessible. It is wonderful to know how she made her dream come into reality. Let us also create in us the ability to exist and develop without exhausting our natural resources.
