Honda updated next year's CR-V as an interim update. This means that lower end models will have better specifications and top cars will have new functions. We all feel the new change.

So, let’s look what's new with them. Honda offers a full range of inductive active safety kits for its largest medium SUV, which means that even the base cruise front drive can obtain adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, collision mitigation braking system, front collision warning, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning and adaptive high beam.

The small Honda CR-V now has a hands-free electric tailgate, dual zone air conditioning, smart key entry and button start, leather steering wheel and infotainment system with Apple Carplay, Android cars and built-in Garmin navigation app.

Qi wireless charging pad, privacy glass, full LED headlights, led fog lights and Active Cornering lights are added to high-end models. Sport premium has leather seats and steering wheel with shift lever.

Visual adjustments include a shading grille in front, a larger open intercooler and Gunnery trim. There are dark taillight lenses and dark chrome tailgate trim, complete with redesigned bumpers and exhaust.

Then let’s see if there is ang change under the hood. The most important thing for me is that  all models are now equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine. Last year, there was still one model, the CR-V s, that retained the old 2.4-liter atmospheric unit, but it is now on the Dodo's path.

Unfortunately, the CVT transmission still exists. There’s nothing wrong with it. It's just a little soulless. It's economical and works well, but it reduces a lot of driving pleasure.

To be fair, though, this is a home SUV, not a sports car. It shouldn't complain to people like me that “driving is fun.”. But sports premium has both the name of sport and the paddles on the back of the steering wheel, indicating that it is a vehicle that can be driven in a sporty way. CVT has greatly frustrated this spirit, which is a shame, because the engine is really good.

The same as Civic is the 1.5-liter turbocharger, whose power is healthy 140kW / 240Nm, between 7.3L/100km and 7.4L/100km. The weight of the front wheel drive travel is a little lighter than that of the four-wheel drive sport premium, so it feels more power, but having thrust at both ends means that the all-wheel drive CR-V will soon be offline. There is also not too much turbine or CVT lag, which is commendable, and the engine is happy to run at 91 octanes, unlike most other turbo sets.

On the road, the powertrain performs as well as expected. I mean, it's going to reach fairly fast highway speeds and CVT solves good speed and range cruising. Honda also makes the CR-V quieter than I remember, and road noise is almost imperceptible at any speed.
