It’s very important for Muslims to understand the purpose of life for humans and how that relates to Duas for good health. Allah created us all for one purpose alone, which is to worship Him. However, He can’t allow us to always remain in our comfort zone. Rather, He must test us and see how we respond to adversities. Allah created humans in such a way that they are susceptible to illness. However, there is no guaranteed outcome. Two people with the same affliction may fare different fates, and that is part of life.

The importance of dua in Islam stands close to having faith and belief in the existence of Allah (SWT). Dua means communicating with Allah (SWT) and because of this communication source, we get close to our Lord. Du'a' is a form of prayer that is not restricted to time or place.

From a Muslim’s point of view, it’s important to recognize that is one of Allah’s ways of testing us. Hence, we must look to the Quran and Sunnah for how to react in such situations. The Prophet (PBUH) allows us to take precautions in the form of medicine, etc. After all, there is a Hadith stating that you should tie up your camel, even if you trust in Allah. Therefore, we should take precautions but also recite the duas recommended for good health. We should ask Allah for forgiveness and request him to allow us to stage complete recoveries.

Most Important Dua Supplications for others

Make dua for others what you want for yourself. As Muslims, we are supposed to feel the pain of other Muslims and pray for them. Life can throw us in the same situation where we might need duas from others.

“He who supplicates for his brother behind his back (in his absence), the Angel commissioned (for carrying supplication to his Lord).      [Sahih Muslim]

Make duas mentioned in Qur’an & Sunnah

Most of us think that Allah knows what we want so we don’t make duas at all, but what we forget is that we have nothing to lose here. We don’t go empty-handed when we make a dua. We get a reward or we get acceptance.

Ask during the accepted times

Allah did not place a limit on the number or type of duas you can make. Show Allah your dependence on Him through constant supplications. Following is the list of best places and times to make duas.

Just Tahajjud it!

If you really want something and you haven’t prayed tahajjud, then do you really want it that much?

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said,

“Our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, comes every night down on the nearest Heaven to us when the last third of the night remains, saying: “Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him?”    [Bukhari]

Istighfar (repentance)

“And said, ‘Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send the sky upon you in showers. And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for your gardens and provide for you rivers.” [Quran; 71:10-12]

Hope for positive results and do not give up

Ask and you shall receive. Have firm faith that your dua will be answered and your wish will definitely be granted. You have asked the King – for Whom, nothing is impossible. No matter, how big your need is, or how difficult you think your problem is, or how messy your situation is, it is a matter of Kun Faya Kun for Him.

Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

“A supplication should be made in full confidence and one should persistently express his desire (before Allah) in his supplication, for no bounty is too great for Allah to bestow (upon his slaves).”     [Muslim]

Conclusion

It's all about intention. Recite and Soorah or even the entire Quran because you are seeking God's blessings and mercy to heal you.

Further, you can make obeisance to God seeking His intervention for healing at anytime, anywhere. The obeisance/duas can be a formal existing duas in Arabic. Verily it can do miracles that no one ever imagines in life. It protects us from hardship, unseen troubles, and dangers that can harm us. It is also mentioned in different hadiths that dua has the power to change one's destination.
