The promotional team of Chaos Walking, The Noise, made fun of Tom Holland’s upcoming release Cherry’s poster blunder and created a poster inspired by that.
Chaos Walking is Doug Liman’s upcoming science-fiction movie written by Christopher Ford and Patrick Ness. The movie is based on Chaos Walking’s trilogy, adapted from Ness’s 2008 novel, The Knife of Never. The film stars Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley as the lead of the film, along with Mads Mikkelsen, Demián Bichir, Cynthia Erivo, Nick Jonas, and David Oyelowo in supporting roles. It is scheduled to release on 5 March 2021 theatrically under Lionsgate.
Tom Holland is known for his characters as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He became the youngest recipient of BAFTA Rising Star. The actor has only done a superhero movie, and this is the first time he is exploring the other genres of film. Holland’s other upcoming film Cherry is also on the way to release. And recently, a few weeks ago, the promotional team of Cherry released a poster of the film. The poster was disrupted by some digital error and grabbed a lot of negative publicity.
In both the upcoming film, Cherry and Chaos Walking, Holland’s fans will witness the acting capability of the star. The actor will also be able to come out from his Peter Parker image. However, the promotional team of Chaos Walking took advantage of Cherry’s negative publicity and used the hype to promote their film. They copied the red theme of the movie, Cherry, and distorted the film’s title name.
The Noise tweeted the distorted poster on Twitter on 14 January, with the caption, “5/3/21 ”
The Noise’s random post about the might seems insanely stupid. But, it was a very smart promotional strategy. The poster of Chaos Walking will help the team create hype about the poster and increase word of mouth. The Noise posted the poster on the same day when fans were waiting for Cherry’s first trailer.
It is hard to believe that the movie is having a difficult time gaining audience attention despite the presence of two popular stars, including Ridley and Holland. The plot revolves around Todd Hewitt and Viola’s love story, a mysterious girl who crashes on the planet of no women. The story then unfolds as Todd protects Viola on the dangerous planet.
Hopefully, Chaos Walking manages to release on 5 March 2021 after so many delays and succeeded in impressing the audience.
