Netflix has plenty of TV series and films. Some of them are quite amazing, while others failed to impress the audience. In recent years, the platform has focused on developing the original content, including actor Chris Hemsworth’s action thriller film Extraction. The movie is one of the biggest Netflix Originals movies, according to the data. Some of the Netflix films received critical acclaim; however, the Cannes Film Festival has banned the Netflix film from participating in the competition.

Some of Netflix’s contents are masterpieces, while others left the critics scratching their heads. In this article, we tried to list down a few worst Netflix movies according to Rotten Tomatoes.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, 20%

Yuen Woo-ping’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny is an American-Chinese movie based on Wang Dulu’s novel Iron Knight, Silver Vase. The film is also the sequel to the 2000 movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It stars Harry Shum Jr., Donnie Yen, Roger Yuan, Michelle Yeoh, Jason Scott Lee, Eugenia Yuan, and Woon Young Park.

The movie received many Academy Award nominations and won four of them. The plot of the film follows Yu Shu Lien, eighteen years of solitude warrior-maiden. She emerges from her retirement and travels to Perking. In the forest, Lien’s carriage is attacked by some warriors, and she bravely fights with them. The rest of the plot follows her on her journey.

Michelle Yeoh gave a fantastic performance in the film, and her fight scenes are incredible. However, the plot feels a little underwhelming and hence fails to impress the audience. It received a 20% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 35 reviews with an average rating of 5.15/10. The film scored 47 out of 100 on Metacritic.

The plot follows Elle (played by King), a quirky teenager whose budding romance with high school senior Noah (played by Elordi). Elle puts her old friendship with Noah’s brother in jeopardy.

Audiences poorly received the film, and critics called it a showcase of cliche romantic movies. The movie, for obvious reasons, did not perform well at the box office. The Kissing Booth got an approval rating of 17% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 12 reviews, with an average of 3.59/10.

Dee Rees’ The Last Thing He Wanted is a political thriller based on the 1966 novel of the same name written by Joan Didion. It stars Ben Affleck, Anne Hathaway, Edi Gathegi, Toby Jones, Rosie Perez, Willem Dafoe, and Mel Rodriguez.

The movie premiered on 27 January 2020 at the Sundance Film Festival. It received a negative response from critics for its plot and writing. The film revolves around a journalist who stops the 1984 U.S. Presidential election’s coverage to care for her ill father. The further story is about the political journey of the character in between these.

The storyline might sound like a solid one, but critics have highly criticized it and called it “frustrating” and “confusing.” The Last Thing He Wanted to get an approval rating of 5% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 55 reviews, with an average rating of 2.86/10.
