Embroidery digitizing, is the art of using a computer to convert artwork into data that is identifiable by an embroidery instruments so the machine knows how to stitch up out the design. One click on the keyboard does not robotically convert the design. The artist redraws the blueprint in such a manner that the embroidery machine knows what to do; from the size of the design, to underlay’s, form of stitch, color changes, and the order in which this all takes place. Very analogous to an architectural blueprint that tells the architect engineer what to do.
