Dactinomycin: A Chemotherapy Medicine

Dactinomycin is introduced in the treatment of Wilms tumor, Ewing's sarcoma, trophoblastic neoplasm, rhabdomyosarcoma, testicular cancer, and ovarian cancer. The usual dactinomycin 0.5 mg dosage is administered by injection into a vein. It is an anti-cancer agent that is believed to work by damaging the genetic material (DNA) of the cancerous cells and inhibits their growth as well as multiplication. Never skip any dose and must finish the course of therapy as suggested by the healthcare professional. Consider an apt method of birth control in order to avoid pregnancy while on this medication.
