Weirdness and super crazy things have always defined me without realizing what I get myself into from time-to-time. One good thing is that over time, I have been able to control the tongue that lashes unintended things to people, not with the idea to harm or to be mean but is let off in a quirky manner. It took me a while dawn upon things that makes me feel so stupid.
As many of you are aware that I own the latest iphone8 since five months and still not being used to most of its settings. For quite some time, the phone was behaving in a weird fashion with every call that I was getting but there was no sound despite increasing the volume the loudest possible. I almost freaked out but didn’t. I tried every trick in the book to fix the volume but it wasn’t working. Woe betide me! I missed so many important calls but the cherry on cake were calls that I was avoiding like pest. So, in a way it worked but in several many, it seemed like a fuck up. Just imagine every time the boss called, I was unavailable but must be a pet peeve for her for I always ended up seeing the call much later. I called back. The same goes for some important contacts and prospective clients. Quite embarrassing and super awkward moments!
The next door neighbor who also owns an iPhone was the saving grace yesterday since someone important was supposed to call me for fixing an appointment. I didn’t want to take chance and ran after the dude. It was apparently a switch on and off button which I toggled with to do time pass thinking it as a toy and didn’t realize that the button was muted. That’s me! I always end up doing such crazy and wacky things. Repeat after me, All Izz Well!
One incident happened a couple of years back when our department was suddenly closed and the board called the entire team to explain things. The truth is that it whittled down to incompetence at the management and ownership level. There were lots of manipulations doing the rounds and one of the people forming part of the board was someone whose team was always at logger heads with us. Certainly, the snooty character was unwanted but considered to be a senior most person. The man said that he was considering to take some of us in his department, including me and was like don’t listen to many from my team who says that I am a bad a** and just imagine, I opened my mouth and mouthed loudly, “Oh! Yea! heard about it.” The man went red but forced himself to say that he appreciates my frankness. Of course, he was just putting a facade, except that this time I wasn’t awkward but proud of my doing.
