Dwayne Johnson “The Rock” recently shared a training picture as he is preparing for Shazam’s arch-nemesis role.
Dwayne Johnson is an American-Canadian retired professional wrestler, former American football, businessman, actor, and producer. He is one of the world’s highest-grossing actors. Johnson has appeared in many films including, The Game Plan, The Scorpion King, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Hercules, Central Intelligence, the Jumanji franchise, etc. The wrestler-actor has been connected with the Black Adam project for over ten years. The movie has finally started production work this year. Johnson shared his pictures of training earlier this year. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the shooting of the film was postponed until next spring. The upcoming Black Adam movie is a sequel project for 2019 Shazam! Most of the details regarding the movie are still unknown. Jaume Collet-Serra is hired to direct the film in June 2019.
Fans are impatiently waiting for the movie for a few years; the star’s training pictures come out as a treat to his die-heart fans. The small trailer with concept art at DC FanDome shows that Black Adam is still in the race and slowly moving forward. The small video highlighted the origin of Black Adam in Kahndaq and how he was born fighting against the slave owners. The movie stars Dwayne Johnson as Teth-Adam/Black Adam, Noah Centineo as Albert Rothstein/Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Carter Hall/Hawkman, and Quintessa Swindell as Maxine Hunkel/Cyclone. The team yet did not share who will be playing the character of Kent Nelson (aka Doctor Fate).
The plot of the film is set around 5,000 years after the origin of Black Adam. The DC FanDome revealed that the upcoming movie would be titled Shazam! Fury of the Gods in August this year. Johnson shared a new Instagram post of an impressive training picture of him during his gym session. However, the actor’s post is dedicated to his upcoming project Black Adam, wearing a t-shirt of the franchise with the bold alphabetical logo “BLACK ADAM” written on it.
