What do plantar growths look like?

Warts on the bottoms of the feet appear as small lesions  Herpes Clear Review   with a rough appearance; they may also develop a hardened callous as a result of standing and walking on the protruding growth. You may notice tiny, thread-like black spots inside the wart itself; these are actually tiny hemorrhages from blood vessels near the lesions. Due to the pressure of standing and walking, the growths may push inward, causing discomfort or pain.

What causes them?

Like all warts, these growths are caused by a strain of the human papilloma virus, known commonly as HPV. Virtually every person is exposed to the virus, and most of us carry it on our skin. It is not understood why only about 1 in 10 people are actually affected by the virus.Warts appear when the virus is permitted to enter the body through cuts or abrasions on the skin. Individuals who go barefoot often increase their risk of developing the growths, as the feet are subject to abrasions from rough surfaces. Swimmers and those who share public showers are also prone to picking up the warts virus, which is highly contagious.
