It was only in April that Facebook unveiled new products based on audio to its customer base. Among the new products was something called “Live Audio Rooms,” which has been regarded as a clone of Clubhouse. The product will be available across both Facebook’s social media platform and the messaging app called “Messenger.”
If you have been following the news regarding the “Live Audio Rooms,” then you would know that the company was busy testing the state-of-art product in Taiwan with many public figures involved in the test. However, recently, the tech giant has upped the ante after it performed the first-ever public test of the product. The debut public testing of the product “Live Audio Rooms” happened in the United States with the Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg hosting the entire event. The event comprehensively tested the “Live Audio Rooms” product, and it also saw the CEO interviewing several executives and creators of his own company.
In the event, Mark Zuckerberg was accompanied by several of his colleagues, which primarily includes three gaming creators of the company. The creators were: TheFierceDivaQueen, StoneMountain64, and Queen Eliminator. Other dignitaries present at the event included Andrew Bosworth (who is the head of Facebook Reality Labs), Fidji Simo (who is the head of Facebook), and Shery Sandberg (who is the Vice President of Facebook) was also present.
The gaming creators enjoyed their time in “Live Audio Rooms,” where they talked in length about their gaming time on Facebook, and the genre of games they like to stream, and other pertinent facts.
Mark Zuckerberg also took a keen interest in the gaming niche, and he also alluded to the fact that soon users would also be treated with a new type of post titled “Looking for Players.” Using the post, the gaming creators would be able to invite other people in the community to play games while they live to stream their game-play.
Apart from this, it was also revealed during the event that users who earn badges during live-stream gameplay would soon be able to carry it to the fan groups. Mark Zuckerberg mentioned while talking that the feature to carry the badges to the fan group was a big request from creators and the gamers as well.
And, as you might have already heard, “Fan Groups” will be a prime feature of the gaming creators having a partnership with Facebook. This will engage gamers a bit more, and they will also be able to share experiences. Zuckerberg revealed that the fan groups have already been made available to gaming partners at “Facebook Gaming,” and others would soon be able to get access to it as well.
You must have seen iterations similar to “Live Audio Rooms.” Some platforms such as Twitter Spaces and Clubhouse had already given us glimpses of what “Live Audio Rooms” might entail.
However, the event was engaging, and all the podcast creators would surely be upbeat to give the product a go.
