FALCON fire extinguishers are classed based on the type of fires they are able to extinguish. It is important to understand how the different types of fire extinguishers can efficiently stop the fire from spreading.
TYPES OF FIRE EXTINGUISHER
FALCON’s ABC Dry Powder Fire Extinguishers are multi-purpose extinguishers suitable for extinguishing Class A, B, and C fires. The ABC Dry Powder fire extinguishers are widely used in commercial buildings, industrial plants, workshops, laboratories, schools cars, and homes. The dry powder extinguishes the fire by a chemical reaction with the flame. When it is applied to hot and smoldering surfaces, the particles swell to form a barrier to snuff out oxygen from the source fire, thus preventing re-ignition. Besides being a poor conductor of electricity, the dry powder has the ability to provide the operator with a heat shield and has a fast knock-out effect.
