WHAT IS A CPAP MACHINE

A CPAP machine also known as continuous positive airway pressure it is a device used to counter the symptoms of sleep apnea.

Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder that temporarily blocks the airways thereby cutting off the supply of oxygen during sleep. The body is then forced to wake up to restore breathing and oxygen flow. Depending on the severity, the body could be forced to wake up many times during the night which can affect the quality of sleep. If left untreated, it can lead to high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, heart diseases, depression, weight loss and many other health issues.

Sleep apnea  machines  provide a steady flow of oxygen to the airways during sleep. This prevents blockage and keep the airways open so that sleep is not interrupted.
