Udaipur heritage walking
I was well aware that Udaipur is famous for its small lanes and stalls along the roadsides. These spots are often overlooked, but I was shocked to see the Udaipur heritage walking. This entire lane is a paradise for shopaholics and lovers of art and handicrafts. You can witness amazing cultural ceremonies in the temples as you walk down the lanes. It was a unique experience to visit this spot.
Sajjangarh Palace
Although I'm not a huge fan of palaces and forts, the Sajjangarh Palace was something I loved. It is often called the Monsoon Palace and is famous for its spectacular sunset views. I asked locals for advice and was advised to reach the palace's top by 3:00 in the afternoon. I did. Although my legs were not the happiest after the climb, the view of the sunset was worth every ounce of fatigue. Jag Mandir Palace
Another spot I was told was underrated, was Jag Mandir Palace. This palace is located in the middle of a lake and screams royalty and luxury. It was built on an island in Lake Pichola. I cannot describe how stunning the architecture is. Each wall is unique and you wouldn't want to miss it. I was captivated by the marble architecture and its intricate details. The palace's view of the lake is breathtaking.
Government Museum at Ahar
Although I was skeptical about my friend's suggestion that I visit the Government Museum at Ahar, I eventually made the right decision. It is a smaller spot so you can stand and admire everything the place has to give. Although I don't like museums, I found it enjoyable to walk through the place. Each and every architectural display, art piece, and each one of the other display is unique. I was reminded of Rajasthan's authenticity by the ruins scattered around. Walking down, I wished that this journey would never end.
Jawahar Nagar
Jawahar Nagar was my last and most dreaded spot. This place is well-known for its adventure activities such as ropeways. Although I'm not a fan of heights, I found it difficult to enjoy the place without panic attacks. However, I can say with confidence that the money and time I spent there were well worth it. You won't be charged a lot and you will get the best deals. I will never forget the beauty of the area around the ropeway.
You should never believe anyone who says Udaipur is not for solo travelers. It doesn't matter what, I had a great time exploring places most people wouldn't otherwise have the chance to. It was amazing to be greeted with such hospitality on the streets. Make sure you eat every bit of the local cuisine, including pani puris and kachoris before you go.
