After the release of Disney’s new OTT platform, it is getting a lot of traffic. With excessive use, Disney is getting to know about the bugs present in the platform at a higher rate. One of the error reports that it got is that the screen of the user stuck, and all the users can see is the solid blue, green, or the black screen. If you can see the title of the content and half buffering circle, then it will be considered on the black screen.

When users face the blue screen, then the app work just fine, but users can see the playing content on the screen. Still, they can hear the sound.

In the Green screen problem, users get the breaking sound of the content, such as in The Mandalorian (spin-off Star Wars). Here, they have to refresh the downloaded content again and again.

If you are facing these problems or similar to these, then you can use the following techniques to resolve the issues of Disney Plus.

By setting the ResolutionResolution on 4K

If you are using the Fire Stick by the Amazon, then you should know that it comes with the default setting of ResolutionResolution as 1080p. There are chances that your TV set at the resolution of 1080p too. Therefore you should follow these steps to change the ResolutionResolution to 4K:

  • Go to Home Menu.
  • Tap on Settings.
  • Now, go to Display or Sound.
  • Enter the Resolution section.
  • From the drop-down option, choose 4K.

Now, plug the Stick again, and try to play the content back in the Disney +. I hope that the content starts to play without any more issues.

Adjust the Color Depth

If you are using the combination of Fire Stick and Vizio, then you should change the Color Depth of the Fire Stick from the 8 bits to the 12 bits.

After changing, you should plug the Stick into the HDMI port containing the UHD color option. After doing so, the issue of these dreadful screens will eliminate.

Use the Web Browser to tackle the issue of Disney +

Generally, the browser is the backbone of the problem. That being the reason you should try to clean the cookie and Cache history. It is different for all the browsers, so check the procedure to clean the caches of your browser.

You should make sure that the device and the browser are updated.

Restart your Device

  • In the case of the Firestick, you should press the Home button, which will take you to the home screen.
  •  Now choose settings.
  • Click on My Fire TV.
  • Press the Restart button.
  • When the device restarts, try to reaccess the content.

If you are using the smartphone or tablet, then the same condition applies to you, too (not the steps only the purpose).

  • Go to Home Screen.
  • Press and hold the Power button.
  • Choose to Restart (if you get the options)
  • When the device restarts, then check the improvement in the app.

Remove all the Restrictions

The other reason for this issue could be that there is some restriction applied by the device or the browser that doesn’t allow you to access Disney + such as the antivirus, or malware software, or the pop-up blocker, etc.

If this is the case, then you have to add the exception in those antivirus or malware software or disable them for a temporary or permanent basis.

After doing that, you should try to check the improvement in the issue.

Reinstalling the App

If the mentioned technique fails to resolve the problem, then you have to uninstall the app. When you uninstall the app, your subscription remains unaffected, but all the downloaded content will remove automatically.

Then you should install the Disney + app from the leading site or the Store.

Try Another Device

It is like the last resort for you. It may not seem the solution much of running form the issue, but it can be useful for emergency cases. If it works, then you can know that there is a problem in your device, not in your subscription.
