Infinix Hot S3

Infinix greeted 2018 with a new smartphone aimed at budget-conscious, selfie-loving consumers. The brand plan’s on invading the sub-10k price point is with a device that features a 20MP front camera, 18:9 display, and Android 8.0 Oreo. Can they do it? Let’s find out in our full review of the Infinix Hot S3.

Display of Infinix Hot S3

Definitely, the highlight of the device no doubt, the 5.65-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is breathtaking. The company really surprised us, just like their sister company Tecno. Honestly, I was thinking they will debut the feature with their next Zero flagship.

It has no navigation buttons and tiny narrow bezels, whole the selfie camera and front flash sits at the top. The screen boasts of the resolution of 720×1440 pixels, reaching about 80% screen to body ratio.

Face unlock of Infinix Hot S3

After buying the phone later on Infinix introduced the Face Unlock feature on Infinix Hot S3 and believe me it is good in it work. My experience with the feature is relatively fast and I would say good addition by the company.

Hardware and Software of Infinix Hot S3

This is also the first smartphone from Infinix Mobile to house the Snapdragon 430 chip from Qualcomm. It boasts of Octa-core processor that reaches a clock speed of 1.4 GHz, and an Adreno graphics processor. Infinix Hot S3 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, with XOS 3.0 user interface.

In terms of RAM and storage, there are two versions, the standard one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. Infinix Hot S3 is upgradeable up to 128GB with microSD if you need more space.

Camera of Infinix Hot S3

Just like the midrange Camon CM from Tecno, there are no dual shooters here. It sports a 13MP single rear camera with f/2.0 aperture for taking sharp photography. While at the front, there’s a 20MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture as well, 5P lens and dual-LED front Flash.

Battery of Infinix Hot S3

Infinix Hot S3 is a powerhouse with 4000mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery. It also comes with fast battery charging feature, the XCharge technology. As per my experience with the device, it gets the full juice really fast. Fast charging is really the need of the time and this smartphone handles it correctly.

But if you ask me about the battery life, to be very frank Infinix should have done the better job on that.

Conclusion

Overall after three months of usage, I can say that the device is one of the best available in the price range and gives some really awesome selfies. So, if you have a budget of 9000/- (INR) then you should definitely look this device and company has added Blue and Red color in their profile for the Hot S3. Finally, I would say, go ahead and have a look at the device and you will not regret it.
